2025/26 Horsemanship Program Application

This has been the discussion for many years by many people.

Our horsemanship program is based on the definition that- Horsemanship is the art of understanding the language and way of the horse, so that we may understand the imapct we have as we learn to fairly manage our influence for a desired outcome. For example.

All aspects of husbandry, stable management, Riding skills and handling skills are important for the safety of the rider and the well being of the horse.

Our program strives to teach these skills in a age appropriate fun, empowering way for the students.

The benefits of the program include developing a well rounded reality based student who has real world skills. These skills are transferable, and aid in the development of confident, competent, leadership, to support the students life goals.

This program is focused on the development of emotional assessment and regulation in the students as is pertains to the world of the horse. Many who find challenges with this in everyday life, are highly successful in the program.

Students will learn to prepare, tend, assess, and make decisions with that information to execute ground handling and horseback riding skills. A solid and thorough experiential education creates the foundation most important for long term safety.
