About the farm

A small family farm with a quiet wellness mission.

Established in 1997 as a family homestead raising goats, dogs, and children, Gentle Giant Acres rebirthed in 2016 as a therapeutic farm dedicated to bringing the joy of farm life and the benefits of animal interaction to everyone.

We believe that spending time with animals, big and small, can promote overall wellness and contribute to a happier, healthier you.

For schools and class groups

We do field trips, well.

Curriculum-tied farm visits for K-12 classes from Lethbridge School District 51, Westwind, Horizon, Holy Spirit Catholic, Palliser Regional, and home-school groups across southern Alberta. Kids meet the animals up close, do real chores in the refuge, and burn off the kind of energy that doesn't fit inside a classroom.

We scale the day to your group's age and size, with safety-first staff who plan around your school's policies. Pick a date from the live tour calendar, or get in touch first if you have specific curriculum tie-ins.
