What to know

Each week we start by creating a Stone Soup experience. Old story, still true. Those who wish to partake can bring an (vegetable) offering to the pot and while it cooks we engage in an activity. (Proteins and soup base will be provided.) Weekly activities may include EAL (Equine assisted learning) exercises, leather workshop, spoon carving, fiber arts, food preservation, wild food foraging, reiki, meditation sessions. The group is as active or passive as you would like it to be. After the activity we rejoin the soup pot and enjoy the communal meal around the fire. Participate in the guided discussion, work on a personal project or just enjoy the energy of a woman's circle. We finish up by 8pm.

*In the past we have had great conversations, made new friendships and brought a sense of community to replace the 'lonely' space.

Fees are $35/ week which includes the meal and Instructors.

5:30 to 5:45 pm Stone soup- All good things start with soup! Bring an offering to the cauldron, bite sized cuts of vegetables, herbs, etc. Your own bowl or cup, spoon, water and a smile!

If you have special diets or allergies you are welcome to bring your own food for safety.

5:45 to 7:00pm (ish) Activity Class - Bring your intention for a different activity each week, so dress for the weather in clothing that allows you to move! When the soup is ready we will gather to share the communal meal.

7:00pm Fireside talk- Bring your favorite recipe, short story, Aesop's fable for discussion, maybe share something you learned this week, or reflect on what others are sharing,. We will light the fire and burn away the day!

8:00pm- close for the evening.

Stone Soup: Live the story's core concept that through collaboration and generosity, even from humble beginnings, a community can create abundance where there was once scarcity. Share the story, share the meal.

Handicrafts: Reduce stress and anxiety with the repetitive, focused actions. Crafting can have a calming, meditative effect, helping to shift focus away from worries. Working with our hands can trigger a "feel-good" chemical release in the brain, leading to feelings of accomplishment and a positive outlook. All are welcome to bring personal projects or teamwork projects to foster a sense of belonging.

Intentional Activity- We are biologically wired for connection, which is essential for survival, mental health, and emotional well-being. Shared activities—act as a "social lubricant" that reduces stress, increases feelings of belonging, and strengthens trust through shared experiences. And we deserve it!

Fireside Gatherings- Warmth and community of gathering around a fire, often providing a safe, authentic, and inclusive space to share stories, process experiences, and find connection and mental wellness. The core idea is to create a space where people can share their stories and connect in genuine ways, as historically people gathered by fires for community and healing.

Like we did in the past so shall we gather again. Find Your Place in the tribe.

Our classes are led by a safety-conscious leaders who will ensure a meaningful and interactive experience for all participants. Our group will grow in topics, activities and connection as determined by the group.
